Review by hotel critic
Nestled in bustling Monopoli, B&B Palazzo Antonelli offers an intriguing mix of charm and convenience that I had the pleasure of experiencing over New Year. As a wildlife conservationist who cherishes authentic and meaningful travel experiences, I appreciate a warm vibe, and this place is a blend of potential and peculiarities. The location is hard to beat-within a stone's throw of Piazza Garibaldi, you can easily immerse yourself in the vibrant local culture. From a practical standpoint, the accessibility isn't the best, as the pedestrian-only zone requires a bit of a trek from the nearest parking area to the B&B itself. My traveling companions and I had to haul our luggage through the charming but crowded streets, which, while slightly inconvenient, added to that adventure feel I seek on trips. Upon settling in, we were greeted with the basics: comfortable beds, a shared kitchen, and a refreshing vibe despite the small quirks we noticed. One standout feature was the terrace that beckoned for quiet moments overlooking the lively street-a perfect spot for sipping coffee made from the in-room coffee machine. Though not everything was perfect-like the hard towels and some less-than-friendly service-breakfast was served with a smile, which helped lift our spirits each morning. All in all, Palazzo Antonelli offers a lovely base to explore the rich culture of Monopoli, just mind the small bumps along the way!
